Our story

From an agency's frustration.

Where it came from

Before BrightSite, our team spent 10 years building the first cloud platform for LED displays. Alongside that, we ran an agency that built and maintained client sites on WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, and a long list of platforms that called themselves all-in-one. Every client needed the same things: an editor that didn't fight us, real forms, real analytics, SEO that worked out of the box, and a way to change the site without breaking it. Every platform solved two of those and left the rest to plugins.

What we built

So we built the platform we wanted to use: pages, a blog, docs, forms, analytics, session replay, SEO, hosting, staging, a store, and email campaigns in one product, with an AI assistant built in and an MCP server so Claude and ChatGPT can do the work too. No plugins, and nothing to update.

Where it is now

BrightSite runs as its own company, and we ship every week: 29 new features since launching in May. Our agency builds its client sites on it too, so everything we ship gets used on real client sites first.

What we believe

Three ideas behind every decision.

  2. Privacy without trade-offs.

    Analytics run on our own servers, with no third-party tracker on your pages. You can know what's happening on your site and still respect your visitors.

  3. The price should be the price.

    A cheap website is rarely cheap once you add forms, analytics, SEO tools, and a page builder upgrade. Our plans include all of it, so the line on your statement is what you pay.

Where we're going

Built slowly, on purpose.

We're growing BrightSite alongside a partner program of agencies and consultants who build client sites on it. Deeper AI workflows, more editor power, and a bigger partner network are next.

The goal isn't to be the biggest site builder. It's to be the one serious operators actually want to use.
