Email

Email you send through BrightSite must follow anti-spam laws, including CAN-SPAM, and these rules:

  • Email only people who gave you permission to contact them. Don't use purchased, rented, scraped, or shared lists.
  • When you import contacts, you confirm you have their permission.
  • Identify yourself clearly. Use accurate "From" names and subject lines.
  • Include your physical mailing address and keep our unsubscribe link working. Don't email people who unsubscribed.
  • Don't send phishing, malware, or deceptive content.
  • Keep bounce and complaint rates low. We may pause sending automatically when rates are too high, and we may require you to clean your list or use double opt-in.

Forms and data collection

  • Collect only the information you need, and tell visitors how you'll use it in your own privacy policy.
  • Don't collect passwords, full payment card numbers, bank account numbers, Social Security or government ID numbers, biometric data, or protected health information through BrightSite forms.
  • Don't direct your site to children under 13 or knowingly collect their information.
  • Get the consent the law requires before using session recordings, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies on your site.

Social posting and reviews

  • Post only to accounts you're authorized to manage, and follow each platform's rules.
  • Don't post or display fake reviews, reviews you paid for without disclosure, or reviews you've edited to change their meaning.
