Email campaigns

Your newsletter,on your site.

Collect contacts from your forms and store, design campaigns on the same click-to-edit canvas as your pages, and send them to everyone or to a segment. Opens and clicks come back to each campaign.

  1. 01

    Collect contacts.

Add a form to your list, bring in store customers who opt in, or import a CSV. Double opt-in is on from the start.

  2. 02

    Design the email.

Click any block to change it, add a blog post or a product, and preview desktop and mobile. Or code your own.

  3. 03

    Send and see what worked.

Send now or schedule it. Each campaign reports deliveries, opens, clicks, and unsubscribes, with the top links.

By hand or by asking

Write it yourself, or ask for a draft.

Use the editor, or ask Lumi, Claude, or ChatGPT to draft, test, and schedule campaigns. Anything that sends asks you first.

Draft the monthly newsletter

Start a campaign from your latest blog post, change what you like on the canvas, and send yourself a test.

Ask for a draft from the latest post. The agent builds it and sends a test to your inbox.

Everything between signup and send.

01

Signups from your forms

Add any form to your list, map its fields, and tag people as they join.

02

Store customers who opt in

Shoppers who tick the box at checkout join your list, and unticking it unsubscribes them.

03

Double opt-in by default

New signups confirm by email before they're added, which keeps your list clean.

04

Code your own

Paste or write HTML. Mailchimp merge tags are converted for you, and the legal footer is added if it's missing.

05

Sent from your domain

Verify your domain and mail goes out under your name. If BrightSite runs your DNS, the records are added for you.

06

Blocks from your site

Drop in a blog post or a product from your store, with social links from your site's details.

07

Unsubscribes handled

One-click unsubscribe in every email, optional reasons, and bounces and spam complaints removed for good.

08

A checklist before it goes

Test sends to up to five people, and a review screen that catches problems before you send.

On every plan

Included with your website.

Only subscribed and pending contacts count toward your limit. Test sends and confirmation emails don't count toward your monthly sends.

Questions

About email campaigns.

Can I bring my list from Mailchimp?

Yes. Export your audience as a CSV and import it, up to 50,000 rows at a time. You can also paste a Mailchimp email's HTML, and its merge tags are converted.

How do form signups reach my list?

Give a form the Add to list action and map its email and name fields. With double opt-in, which is on by default, people confirm by email before they're added.

Do I need my own domain to send?

It's best to verify one, so mail comes from your address. Until then, campaigns go from a shared BrightSite address with replies sent to you, up to 50 emails a day. Free addresses like Gmail can't be used as the From address.

How accurate are opens?

Opens are approximate, because Apple Mail and some other apps load images for privacy. Clicks are counted per link, and can include link checks from some business email filters.

What is the BrightSite badge?

A small Sent with BrightSite line at the bottom of each email. It's always on for Launch. On Grow and Scale you can turn it off in settings.

Can an agent run campaigns for me?

Yes. Lumi, Claude, and ChatGPT can draft campaigns, manage contacts and segments, send tests, schedule, and read reports. They ask before anything that sends, deletes, or adds people.
