There are two ways to use AI with your site. You can work with Lumi inside the app, or connect an AI tool you already use to your site from outside.

Working with Lumi inside the app

Lumi is the assistant built into BrightSite. You describe what you want in plain language and it makes the change: writing copy, building a page, adjusting a design. It works on your site directly, so you can see the result and publish it like any other change. Lumi draws down your organization's AI wallet as it works.

Connecting a tool you already use

You can connect a tool such as ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor to your BrightSite account, and it can then read and change your site the same way you would in the admin.

For ChatGPT and Claude this is a few clicks in the tool's own settings, and you sign in through your browser rather than handling a key. Other tools use an API key instead. Keys belong to you, not to an organization: you create one under Profile Settings, in the API Keys section, and that single key reaches every organization you are a member of. Anyone you share a key with gets the same reach, so treat it like a password.

Either way, an external tool spends your own tokens with whoever provides it, not your BrightSite AI wallet.
