Review and send
The review screen runs a checklist before anything goes out. Fix what it flags, then choose Send now or Schedule for a date and time in your time zone. Editing a scheduled campaign moves it back to draft.
A sending campaign can be paused, resumed, or cancelled. Any campaign can be duplicated.
Limits and pauses
- When you reach your plan's monthly sends, the campaign pauses and resumes automatically next month.
- Sending from the shared BrightSite address is limited to 50 emails a day, and trials to 100 a day. A campaign that hits a daily cap resumes the next day.
- To protect delivery, sending pauses if more than 5% of emails bounce or more than 0.1% are marked as spam over the last 30 days (once at least 200 have been sent). Clean your list and contact support to resume.
Reports
Open a sent campaign to see:
- Recipients, delivered, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, bounces, and spam complaints.
- Top links, with clicks and unique clicks for each.
- Why people unsubscribed.
- Recipient activity for every contact, which you can filter.
Opens are approximate. Apple Mail and some other apps load images for privacy, which can count as an open. Clicks are counted per link, and can include link checks from some business email filters. When UTM tagging is on (it is by default), links to your own site get UTM tags, so visits from each campaign show up in your analytics.
Unsubscribes
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link and header. The unsubscribe page asks people to confirm and can ask why. You can change its look and text in Settings → Email. Hard bounces and spam complaints are suppressed for good.
The BrightSite badge
Emails on Launch include a small Sent with BrightSite badge. On Grow and Scale it's on by default, and you can turn off Show the referral badge in email settings.
