Touring the app
Every menu in the top bar, what lives under it, and the keyboard shortcut worth learning.
Everything in BrightSite hangs off the bar across the top of the screen. Some entries are single links, others open a menu.
The menus
| Menu | What is under it |

| Pages | Every page on your site. Opens the page list directly. |
| Design | Layouts, Components, Error Pages and Global Code. These are the shared pieces your pages are built from. |
| Forms | Forms (building them) and Submissions (reading what people sent). |
| Media | Your images and files. |
| Blog | Posts, Design and Settings. |
| Docs | Pages, Design and Settings for a documentation site. |
| SEO | Structured Data and Redirects. |
| Insights | Analytics, Spotlight, Heatmaps, Activity and Settings. |
| Settings | The cog icon. Site Identity, Integrations, Domains and DNS, Team, Staging, Import / Export, Billing. |
Menus you might not see
Some entries only appear for certain accounts:
- Spotlight and Heatmaps are included on the Grow and Scale plans. On Launch they do not appear under Insights. See Plans and billing.
- Anything you do not have permission for is hidden. A team member with a view-only role sees fewer options than an administrator.
The AI assistant
The sparkles icon on the right opens Lumi, an assistant that can make changes for you. It slides in beside your work rather than taking over the screen.
Your account
Your avatar at the far right opens Profile Settings (your name, email, password, two-factor authentication and API keys) and Sign Out.
Two things worth knowing
Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on a Mac) anywhere to open a search box. Start typing the name of a page, post, form or component and jump straight to it. It is the fastest way to move around.
The BrightSite logo at the top left takes you back to the dashboard. There is no menu entry for it.
Switching between sites
If you belong to more than one organization, a switcher appears to the left of the menus. Organizations with a staging site expand to show it, so you can move between your live site and its preview copy.
