People can join your list from any BrightSite form and from your store.
From a form
- Open the form and add the Add to list action.
- Map the form's email field, and optionally first name, last name, and a consent checkbox.
- Pick tags to apply to everyone who signs up through this form.
Spam and test submissions are ignored. If your account is at its contact limit, new signups aren't added, so keep an eye on your contact count.
From your store
Shoppers who tick the box to get email at registration, at checkout, or on their profile are added to your contacts. Unticking it later unsubscribes them.
Double opt-in
Double opt-in is on by default. New signups from forms and the store get a confirmation email and stay Pending until they click the link, which lasts 14 days. This keeps mistyped and fake addresses off your list. Change it in Settings → Email.
Someone who unsubscribed and signs up again always gets a confirmation email, whatever the setting.
